Method of Improving Bond Strength of Silicone Based Denture Liners: Improvement in Bonding of Denture Liners Saloni Gupta

Denture liners are valuable aid for the management of edentulous patients with sharp bony spicules,deep undercuts and irritated mucosa. However,the main problem with the silicone based denture liners is that they bond mechanically with the denture base leading to the micro leakage and delimination of denture liners. Here a method has been described for choosing a chemical etchant that improves the bond strength and at the same time produces least decrease in flexural strength of denture base.
