The global society needs management based on thorough knowledge of labor-related processes on a worldwide scale in order to ensure its further sustainable development. This publication focuses on the improvement of the approaches, methods and techniques of HRM in the world as an essential factor underpinning the global labor market and the single European labor market. The relevance of this study stems from the need for the new EU member states to integrate fully and effectively on these markets and to participate in the global labor and social space as equal partners. The book contains international comparative analysis of HRM practices based on Cranet surveys for an eighteen-year-long period. They cover a global context, as well as special focuses on EU, former socialist and Balkan countries and in particular Bulgaria. The areas of convergence and divergence have been identified, trends analysed, methods and approaches have been summarised. An MSAccess database for international HRM is presented. The publication should be useful for practitioners and researchers in the fields of HRM, global labor market, European integration and others.
