Since the birth of the United States, America?s relationship with Cuba has undergone many stages. Whether the view has been favorable or not, Cuba?s proximity has kept America?s eye on the island. For over 50 years, the American embargo has been a way of life in the country, but to understand how we got to this point, you must know what has led to it. This work puts into context the Cuban Revolution and traces the evolving relationship between the countries, while touching on the various impacts of each stage in its development. It further traces the migration of Cubans to America and the effects that has had in each country.
