This is the reason why knowledge management has taken a very important role in today's companies. However, implementing a well functioning knowledge management system and getting the employees to use it is not always easy. Barriers like e.g. lack of time, not-invented here syndrome and the believe that knowledge is power, have to be overcome. This book shows managers how to overcome these barriers and to create a company culture in which knowledge is openly shared. It integrates the three concepts, motivation of employees, company culture and know­ledge management with the aim of pointing out how they are con­nec­ted and how they can be combined to form a well functioning knowledge manage­ment within a company.
