Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a psychological intervention which aims to help the patient recognize, prioritize and link thoughts, feelings, behaviors and physical symptoms. Using both cognitive and behavioural techniques, cognitive techniques aims to identify and challenge negative thoughts, seeking to help the patient find alternative ways of thinking'' and facilitates identification of causes of anger and ways to manage anger. This book is aims to raising violent prisoners? awareness of the causes and symptoms of anger and teaching them how to manage their anger in socially acceptable manner. It also helps offenders to unlearn old habits associated with aggression and learn or relearn healthy ways of dealing with and expressing anger.
