Spirooxindole Alkaloids Zachary Poulos

Oxindoles and spirooxindoles are important synthetic targets due to their significant biological activity and intriguing physical properties. The development of methods to access spirooxindoles remains an ongoing synthetic challenge, especially in the context of enantioselective catalytic approaches. A review of oxindole alkaloids and major novel methods applied in the arena of their total synthesis is presented in this text.
