The effort to alleviate poverty traditionally in Nigeria was based principally on natural capital, physical or produced capital, human capital and financial capital. The missing link in these four types of capital is social capital. This book is a product of guided research meant to examine the influence of social capital and micro credit on poverty status of rural farm households in the biggest black nation in the world. The research was conducted by seasoned scholars with great expertise in econometric modelling and households survey. This masterpiece is a sure guide, companion and a dependable reference to researchers, policy makers, academics as well as students both undergraduates and postgraduates. This study also hopes to stimulate wider interest and attract more attention to the need for social capital as reflected in associational activity in the bid to redefine, revitalize and alleviate rural poverty.
