Study on Adoption of Practices in Farming Systems of Mandya District K. N. Ramanna

The present study was conducted to know the knowledge and adoption of improved practices in selected farming systems of Mandya district, Karnataka. The findings of the study revealed that 36.7 per cent of farmers belonged to medium knowledge categories in case of Paddy+Sugarcane+Dairy (farming system-I). Nearly fifty per cent (43.3%) of farmers had high knowledge with respect to Ragi+Tomato+Coconut+Agro-forestry (farming system-II). With regard to Ragi+ Dairy (farming system-III) fifty per cent of farmers had medium knowledge. This study helped to asses adoption of improved practices by the farming community.
