In this study Three dosage rates of Ficam 80% were tested: 112,168 and 224 mg/m2 for its residual efficacy using a laboratory bred colony of An. arabiensis. Percentages of knocked-down after 60 min. exposure, and mortality after 24 hours were recorded. 6025 mosquitoes specimens were involved in bioassay test , Regardless of surface type or month, the dosage rates 112,168and 224 mg of Ficam had shown average mortality rates of 46 %, 47 % and 65% respectively. Accordingly, among all tested dosages, strongest one is 224 showing a powerful impact residual effect, while dosage rate 112 and 168 revealed weak positive relationships. However, using the probit analysis, LD50% was calculated on the thatch, mud and brick surfaces equaling 212.6, 174.7, and 172.6, respectively. On the same hand, LD95% was calculated on the above surfaces to be 713.4, 644.6 and, 946.5, respectively.
