The adrenal gland (Glandula suprarenalis) is one of the most important endocrine glands which critical for body health, not only, through controlling the metabolism (Glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids) but also regulation of the sex hormones. It also play an important role in nervous system through epinephrine and nor-epinephrine secretion. Realizing the importance of the adrenal glands, it was found that adrenalectomized animals usually will not live more than two weeks. During the prenatal life,it promotes the maturation of fetal organ systems and also regulates the timing of parturition in some species. Camel has a great values and special metabolic and nervous characteristics to which the adrenal gland play an important role. There is no plentiful recorded data concerning the prenatal development of the adrenal gland in camels. This book may provide a base for further studies demonstrating the morphogenesis and functional significance of the camel adrenal glands.
