Conservation Practices of Rhododendron Forest in Tmj Area Dikshya Bohara

Forests form a vital resource for practically all economies of the world. Since ancient time, Rhododendron Forest is one of the major natural resources used by the local people for their livelihoods as it provides fuel wood, fodder, non timber forest products, medicinal and aromatic plants mostly in high hills. Apart from them, it offers a variety of valuable goods and services including implications for global climate regulations. Tinjure Milke Jaljale (TMJ) area of Eastern Nepal is known as the ?Capital of Rhododendron? where 28 species of Rhododendron are available at a single destination. It looks just amazing during flowering season. Therefore TMJ (Rhododendron forest) needs special consideration for conservation and its promotion through out the world.
