It is said that, blood is thicker than water but water is the bench mark for all viscosity's; it binds us defines us and some times even curses us. One such curse of a prehistoric nature is the maritime piracy. It has been a threat to merchant shipping since ages and up to date remains a global irritant. Currently, maritime piracy in the Gulf of Aden has emerged as one of the biggest economic, political and military threat in these strategically important waters. This book,therefore, provides a dimension to dealing with the issue objectively. It sheds light on how a failed state status can convert into a 'cancer' for the regional and global community.
