Development of drainage system is controlled by the lithology and gradient of the surface. In extreme conditions these are overtaken by the factor such as discharge. The drainage pattern indicate various physical characteristics of the area. Present book reveals the characteristics of laterite landscape and its role in the drainage development. The drainage system development in this area is dominated by the laterite rock. Presence of rocks like laterite gives rise to totally different drainage pattern than surrounding regions. All these aspects of drainage development in such areas are discussed in this book. The book may be useful to the students of Geomorphology. This book covers aspects like drainage patterns, drainage development on the laterite plateau. This is more area specific description of the drainage development but similar type of development is found in the areas where high level laterite is present. The book is useful for the graduate students to understand a different type of landscape and development of drainage over it.
