The establishment of vertical dimension is one of the most important yet elusive phases in complete oral rehabilitation of edentulous patients in which it is difficult to arrive at definite conclusions from a practical viewpoint. The nature of problems associated with vertical dimension is such that it proves as a worthy subject for constant review. This text is an attempt towards understanding the phase of reconstructive dentistry called ?Vertical Dimension? and its application to achieve clinical excellence in prosthodontic rehabilitation.
