Socio-economic Factors Behind Low Academic Performance Muhammad Salman

This research study conducted in order to investigate the socio-economic factors behind low academic performance of post graduate students at University of Peshawar (UOP). The study employed the use of proportional allocation stratified random sampling method. The validity of questionnaire was proven and data was collected from 80 respondents selected from all the six faculties at University of Peshawar. To analyze the data, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Microsoft Excel 2010 was used aim to accuracy and calculations of data. This formed the basis of the detailed analysis, conclusions and suggestions.
