Learnings from the Commuication Strategies of Slem-cpp: Communication Strategy Nivedita Thapliyal

The strategy design in communication played an important role for proper implementation. The SLEM-CPP has introduced the communication strategy and included various component like success stories for good practices implementation in the area of land management. The Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India and the World Bank are implementing a GEF Programmatic Approach on ?Sustainable Land and Ecosystem Management (SLEM)? with the objective of enhancing the institutional and policy framework for harmonization, coordination and monitoring of interventions in agricultural and natural resource management strategies that promote sustainable land management and enhance agricultural productivity while minimizing environmental impacts. This is a multi-disciplinary programmatic approach which attempts to understand and address the SLEM concerns and its linkages with agro and dry land biodiversity and climate variability issues both at the policy and project levels. From different field visits to different project areas and other relevant sites, suitable success stories on socio-economic has been developed based on the good practices
