New and improved varieties of steel are being produced and continuous research efforts are being made to enhance the properties of steel so that it may be utilised in a more efficient manner. Interstitial Free (IF) Steel grade is very popular in automotive industry for very critical drawing applications. This Steel and its use is being explored in Metal industries since 1980?s because of its high degree of formability/deep drawing properties. Components especially in auto industry which requires immense intricacy has no alternative to the IF Grades. This manuscript is about Interstitial Free (IF) Steel and various means to enhance its properties with different treatments. This book explores the combined cold working and annealing cycle for producing optimum properties for IF grade steels. Effect of Thermo-Mechanical Treatment on Interstitial Free (IF) Steel under various conditions is discussed in detail.
