Scientific Study from the year 2011 in the subject Politics - International Politics - Topic: Peace and Conflict Studies, Security, grade: Vg- B, Uppsala University (Department Of Peace and Conflict Research), language: English, comment: B = Very good (Vg-B) , abstract: This study has given two dimensional comparison within the economic sanctions and engagement policies and among the two ones. The review has targeted to display the effectiveness of mentioned studies from different wings. It has examined the policy changing behaviour of sanctions via economic pressure. The study has displayed the capacity of political outcomes and gains by imposing economic pain. It has also pointed out the substitutability of coercive approach against militarized measures. The main argument has been gathered around the effectiveness and applicability of coercive measures. Thus, it has underlined that in which regimes, under which circumstances and in which scale has it more impact towards the targets. Conclusively the study has evaluated the main impetus behind the use of non coercive measures.
