Reading the Word of God is the most fundamental way to hear God's voice. For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 KJV). The Word of God is part of the armor of God that followers of Jesus use to fight against the temptations and schemes of the enemy. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17 NLT). This devotional contains room for one year of daily prayer time. Take time each day to read each scripture and journal your own thoughts as part of your prayer time with God.
