In Evangelical Christianity divorce and remarriage has been a subject of much debate. In past decades remarriage after a divorce, even an unwanted divorce, was considered adultery in Evangelical circles. I attempt to bring some clarity to this issue based on a sound hermeneutical approach to Scripture which includes relevant historical Jewish and Gentile culture, New Testament Greek word studies and Greek grammar.
