This workbook examines the various roles for Parenting, leadership enhancement, business models, and their application in the home. This is important because, even though there are hundreds of books written on parenting, few (if any) are written from a leadership perspective. Parent Leadership is not focused on readjusting the behavior of the defiant child or improvement strategies for helping your nine-year-old to stop wetting the bed. Parent Leadership is focused on helping you, the parent, unlock and impart the essential characteristics needed for your child to be successful in the workplace, at home, and church. So, what do these characteristics look like? These characteristics can be grouped into the following: (1) resilience, (2) stamina, (3) optimism, (4) vision, and (5) purpose-just to name a few. As a parent first and a pastor second, we who have been blessed to be able have children in our lives have a mandate from heaven to invest and reinvest as needed to ensure that our children are prepared for this thing that adults call life! Moving families, in the United States, from one level of success to a higher level of success is Biblical in concept, and practical in deed. The proverbial writer calls it, "leaving an inheritance for our children's children." I call it PARENT LEADERSHIP...let's begin.
