Christian D. Larson offers guidance to beneficent methods of thought, that readers may attain greater physical and mental well-being.

Over twelve chapters we hear of various forces which constitute elements of physical reality. Beneficent effects may be achieved by consciously willing oneself well on a regular, daily basis; attaining frequent physical relaxation; and practicing mindfulness of the breath. All are pertinent to the New Thought notion that God and His spirit are everywhere in the universe, and exert an unseen yet profound influence on every person on Earth.

Larson's guide to self-healing is ultimately about nourishing one's body and mind by undertaking new habits and trains of thought. By doing this, human beings will gradually become closely attuned to the overarching law of matter, energy and being. The end result is a more peaceful temperament and a conscious feeling of serenity, together with better concentration and spiritual awareness. The inner divinity which dwells within all people has been awoken.

A popular figure in the New Thought movement in the early to mid 20th century, Christian D. Larson was a prolific author of books on a variety of metaphysical and spiritual themes. After relocating to California in 1911, Larson would frequently give lectures, and was appointed President of the International New Thought Alliance in the 1920s.
