An ambitious, yet curious monster, named Darkus, rises from his cadaver table to find himself in a savage wasteland known as Remains, bearing unspeakable powers and a thirst for knowledge. Darkus is quick to discover that the man who created him, Professor Tinkarius, is wanted dead for meddling with forces forbidden by the land of Remains. Tinkarius has created a monstrous army, leaving Darkus to command while going into hiding. Instead of leading the army bestowed to him, Darkus sets off on a quest to find his creator.
