Jewel, as focused as ever, notices something very odd about Osiris since his brother's release from prison, compliments of Dooly and his statements to the parole board. When a devastating wedge is drawn between the two, more lies and secrets fall out of the closet from both sides of hers and A'Dre's families. They're forced to stand in the middle of it all to try and piece everything back together. Seth, Osiris' brother, unknowingly sparks a war that ultimately draws A'Dre out of his good guy image to resurrect the beast within. The Keetons accidentally show Jewel how cruel and ruthless the family can be when blood is drawn from their own. On one hand, there is a chance of losing Jewel yet again, but not simply out of a relationship, but losing her life at the hands of either the revenge-filled, love-crazed Osiris, or his spiteful and greedy brother. On the other hand, he could stand aside and only pray that Jewel's love for him is real so that they could leave everything behind to live their own lives away from it all. With much more drama than before, praying just might not do much.
