Farnaz Kamalian was born in Tehran, Iran during the time of the Shah. Growing up during the Iranian Revolution, she chafed at the restrictions and lack of freedom. This book is the story of her journey from Iran to America and her challenges and observations about both cultures as she learns to live in America. 10% of all book sales will be donated to the Center for Health and Human Rights at https: //www.healthasright.org/ to help provide health care to underserved communities.
