At the Earth's Core is a 1914 fantasy novel by American author Edgar Rice Burroughs. It is the first in the Hollow Earth series about Pellucidar, a world under our world. H. P. Lovecraft and Lin Carter, among other authors, have been inspired by Burroughs' exotic world inside our world. The author tells us how, traveling through the Sahara Desert, he meets a strange machinery and David Innes, who narrates his incredible adventure in the pre-historic Pellucidar.
