Crony capitalism is running amok in America. Free markets are to capitalism what 1776 democracy was to the rule of Kings. It is past time for both democracy and free markets to be taken up a level. Central banks, the corporate structure and stock markets have been around since the 1600's. Time for overhauls. A Federal Reserve that sets interest rates is not free market. Nine people in a room guiding our economy must change. Decentralize control of the financial system; democratization of finance; changes in how we distribute money and a deeper focus on the outcomes we want, will yield a much better economy for all. Radical improvement will not be easy. It will not be aided, abetted and marketed like Bitcoin. We need to dig deep.
