Conservative poetry?! What is that? As far-fetched as it may sound, Tony Garrison has in fact turned the poetry genre on its ear. This collection of poetry eclectically covers myriad subject matter ranging from current events to history, his time in uniform as well as bits of life, love, faith and humor. He comes at these issues from a common sense point of view and a no non sense, bottom line up front sensibility which reveals the imprint of his twenty plus years in uniform as an American soldier. His treatment of these subjects may be offensive to some but is guaranteed to motivate the reader to think more critically about many of the things we generally take in stride because we just don't have either the time or energy to entertain them.
