Her parents' divorce and remarriage to new partners has turned 15-year-old Lisa Larson's life upside down. Lisa had to leave friends, school and even her cat to move across Oregon and live with her new family. Lisa pretends to accept her mother's new-found faith in God as her own. Does God even exist, or care about her if He does? Lisa feels like she doesn't know who she is anymore. Her older stepbrother is a condescending jerk. She hates sharing a room with her stepsister.
