Have you ever walked through a pound and listened to the voices of the animals abandoned there? They have stories to tell and they're just waiting on the right person to share them with. Some of them are heartbreaking. Some are hilarious. And some are filled with attitude. (Those are mostly going to be the cats...) As an animal rescuer, I've had the privilege of hearing these stories and now I share them with you. I share these stories mostly in their voice, because make no mistake, they do have a voice. Whether you have worked or volunteered in animal rescue, adopted a rescued pet, or are just curious, I hope this book gives you some validation or insight. We do impossible, heartbreaking work of the most rewarding proportions. And we need more of you to join us.
