"Run!" screamed my mother. "Don't let him catch up. Don't turn around! Run as far as you can and don't stop!" I stumbled over the rocks and sticks, tearing through the forest as fast as I could on my little five year old legs. Tears streamed down my face. I knew the moment my mom told me to run, I would never see her or my dad again. I wanted to turn back, to run to them, but I knew that if I did I would break my promise. I flashed back to the summer before, when I had tripped and skinned my knee.
