Traumatized: A New Nurse Manager Tries to Instill Discipline in the Trauma Unit Only to Become Traumatized!
Hugo Marinucci
Iris Maloney is the new no non-sense Nurse Manager of a busy Medical Trauma ICU. She inherits a close-knit staff that does their job, but in a happy go lucky way.
Iris embarks on a mission to professionalize the unit but gets frustrated in her every attempt. Will Iris accept the present culture? Or will she resort to other means to achieve her goals.
Likable, laughable, and lovable describes the staff of all ages, creeds, and color. but yet they always rise up to the life and death challenges and the many different personalities that come with it, including a new Nurse Manager that wants to change everything. I should know. I'm one of those nurses and I wrote traumatized.
If you think Animal House was funny. This book is not only funny, but realistic, in a hospital setting in sunny South Florida.
