A play describing Eugene Debs developing and forming the American Railway Union, America's first major industrial union. This brought him into conflict with railroad car manufacturing giant, George Pullman. The result was the Pullman Strike of 1894. Debs was spokesman for the small people. The workers. The people just barely making it in life. He formed the Socialist Party and ran for President four times. The last time he ran he was locked up in prison for speaking against America's entry /into World War I. He received almost 1 million votes. He died in 1926 at the age of 70.
