I used to think all that bearing fruit meant was that you won souls to the Kingdom of God. Another thing I failed miserably at. During an especially troublesome time in my life I began to ask myself and God, "What is wrong with me?" I didn't have peace in my heart. I couldn't sleep. I wasn't happy. The only joy I seemed to find was in times of worship in church when I would bare my heart to God. I did know He was my only answer, not my spouse, children, job or circumstances. Each time I made progress and thought I was getting to the destination of peace and joy I so longed for, I hit a brick wall every time. I knew it was me, not God, not them, not others. Something had to change. As I began to search the scriptures, God sent many wonderful teachers of the Word of God my way and I availed myself to them. I didn't know the answer, but I knew the Answer and knew to seek, knock and ask. This study book documents some of my journey through the scriptures as I knocked on the door of heaven, searched through the pages of God's Word, and sought out the answer. The promise never fails, if you seek, you will find. It is my prayer that this book may be a part of what helps you in your search for the victory available to everyone in Christ Jesus. It didn't happen fast and it didn't happen after I read one study book or a few scriptures, but one day, God set me free! I truly cannot explain it, but I knew when it happened I would never be the same again. Bearing fruit is about winning souls, but you cannot win souls until your life bears the fruit of the Spirit.
