Hoppy the Hereford Finds a Forever Home Laura Ann Huber

When Hoppy's mother gets frightened and runs away, she leaves her little calf scared and cold in the middle of the night. But the farmer is there watching. Scooping Hoppy up he takes her home in the back of his wife's new car. Next Hoppy is taking a bath in the farmer's tub and meeting her new family. Hoppy has lots of things in common with the farmer's son Joey like being a little wobbly and drinking out of a bottle. The farm family showers her with friendship and devotion and lets her know she is loved.

This beautiful and charming, rhyming book was inspired by a real calf on a real farm. Using actual events and pictures this story comes together in a way that is sure to become the favorite bedtime story of many children for years to come. As an added bonus at the end of this book are non-fictional lessons about cows and farm life.
