In 2005 Elias Kanaris and his wife Kay got saved. A few months later, God asked Kay to give up her career to look after the kids. Within 2 years, with half their income, they became debt-free.

This allowed Elias to give up his corporate career and lead a Christian Political Party in the 2008 New Zealand general election.

Then during the Global Financial Crisis, they managed to receive 100% financing to purchase 3 investment properties, when funding was hard to obtain. But a property-development project in 2013 mushroomed out of control. Scheduled to take 9 months, it extrapolated to 4 years, with two contractors going into receivership and over $200K embezzled!
