Bullying in our schools is a serious problem with far-reaching implications for both the one being bullied and the bully. Therefore, it is imperative we start working with our children at an early age.
Through positive interaction with animals, we can help children as young as 4 years to develop a sense of empathy and appreciation for the people around them such as their siblings, relatives, teachers, and classmates. Then, from elementary through high school ages, schools can play a major part to stop bullying by offering students the opportunity to participate in Homeless Pet Clubs.
