In the Garden of Angels and Demons Senior Tutor Stephen Anderson

In the Garden of Angels and Demons is a stunning collection. The poems here delve into our deepest emotions, grapple with our most vexing challenges and demand that we think deeply about what it means to be human. Stephen is a generous poet. His genius is to make the most profound ideas accessible, clearing a path for the reader to surprising and rewarding ways of looking at the world. His images delight, amaze, sometimes disturb, but never fail to dazzle with their beauty. I post Stephen Anderson's poems on my refrigerator at home and on the door of my office. They sing to me, fill me with joy and the courage to confront the inevitable. The poems in In the Garden of Angels and Demons will no doubt also find a place within easy reach where I can savor them, be inspired and delighted by their lyrical beauty.
