Themed in numbers, this book is written and illustrated to entertain beyond simply reading. The artwork extends from the edge of the page to the edge of the page, with hidden numbers in the pages according to the themes for that number. For instance, the first page is themed in the number one. Besides the creature that is cued according to the narrative, "One shaded scorpion hiding from the sun....", the pages include many of one thing, along with the number "1" hidden in the tree, the Roman numeral "I" hidden in the cliff, and the written number "one" in the branches of the bush providing the scorpion with shade.
