Let's pretend you've just gone to sleep while lying in bed next to your spouse, and then you wake up in the arms of another. Not so far fetched, if you think you're dreaming. Right? Diane thought she was dreaming, too, until she kept making the SWITCH night after night to meet up with a man she barely knew.

It wasn't long, before Diane and this man, Stephen,

fell in love and got married. They bought a house in Blue Ash, Ohio, and had a daughter named Lauren.

Then one night Diane made the SWITCH, but Stephen didn't, and she knew something was terribly wrong. Stephen had told her only death could keep him from making the SWITCH, and it did. Diane was left alone to raise their daughter, who had many questions about her father's disappearance and her own existence.

Throughout the years, Diane tried to keep her promise to Stephen and never let their two worlds collide, but that was out of her control. She knew that the morning she opened her front door, and saw Stephen's son, Evan, standing on the front steps. What she didn't know was how he found her?

Together they embraced the truth, and set out to find the girl Evan loved. A girl, who would eventually help them understand the portal SWITCH. In the end, the ultimate test would be given to Evan. He would have to keep his stepsister and this girl alive long enough to make the final SWITCH as they hid from two boys who wanted them dead.
