I believe that my soul is eternal and I see my soul as a holy scroll that unrolls and reveals Divine truths that are coded deep within me. Discovering these profound, yet simple truths, is a worthy quest, and for me, it is my only quest. Like a song, soft words were spoken and my soul listened. These words became powerful tools that assisted me along my incredible journey towards peace, understanding, and love. I often said to myself that there must be something greater in life than working, paying bills, heartaches, struggles, sickness, pain, and death. With the exception of a few joyful moments, life has not been easy for me. I struggled with many issues. Through it all, I managed to write down my thoughts and inspirational ideas. Through writing, I began to find hope for brighter things ahead. Writing has been therapeutic and beneficial for me. I tried to capture the events and moods that caused me great pain and doubt as well as those that catapulted me into absolute bliss and peace. Exegesis of My Soul is a collection of poems that I have written over the past thirty years from my yearnings to understand the meaning of my life. By sharing these poems, it is my deepest desire that readers will hear a melodious song filled with gentle words and begin to move towards something greater than ever imagined. Let's take the time to look inside and see what we may find. Blessings and peace to you and yours forever.
