Millions of people all over the world sensed that in America was to be found the natural habitat for the human being; that her Founders must have discovered the right recipe for creating in her the most favorable circumstances where people could live and thrive in freedom; that America was a promise of hope to suffering humanity, a promise that she was keeping well. Many of them found their way to her shores, experienced this Nation's healthy atmosphere of freedom and growth, and in fulfilling themselves in its salutary richness they helped raise the most successful nation in human history. The author was one among those millions, a small lump of the huddled masses of the American poet's metaphor, born and raised thousands of miles away in a Country stymied by years of dictatorship. For over half a century he has been chronicling in his mind America's sins along with the virtues which once far surpassed her faults, and noticing the changes in her socio-political behavior which have so saddened him and most cradle Americans. These changes have been intensified through the years, gradually robbing our Nation of her true identity and polluting her ethos. Today these changes are occurring-and being promoted-at a fast pace. The same principles that elevated America to greatness can cause her to fall from greatness if ignored or rejected. At this stage of American and human history, it is crucial that we correctly identify these principles and heartily return to them-if our Nation is to survive as the Founders' true America.
