This book is the first volume of a two volume set that provides a detailed description of the core elements of the traditional Korean Martial Art, Tang Soo Do (Soo Bahk Do(TM)). This martial art was developed by Hwang Kee following the end of World War II and the liberation of Korea. It is a composite system that draws heavily on the ancient documented Korean martial art of "Soo Bahk" or "Soo Bahk Hi" as interpreted by Grandmaster Hwang Kee as well as northern and southern Chinese influences.
