The advent of a new administration in Washington presents a good opportunity to look afresh at the education landscape in America and see what areas are in need of the greatest reform and what those reforms may be and may entail. The following are a top-15 list of reforms that should be considered by education policymakers in Washington, state capitals and at the local level. Since education has historically been a state and local issue, more of the reform recommendations are directed at state and local policymakers.
