"My children were 5 and 7 years old when their mum, my wife, died from cancer. It was a bewildering, turbulent time, but through the grief and the tears, our family was blessed with wonderful support from the children's school. Others
aren't so lucky and receive little or no support, with schools struggling to understand or not having the resources to meet the needs of bereaved children. So I decided to try and do something to help. Inspired by a picture my daughter painted a year or so after her mum's death, and taking advice from teachers, child psychologists and bereavement specialists, I've created this practical guide for professionals working with primary school children, so that they can too can 'Be The Rainbow'" - Justin Bowen
