A photographic journey around the new towns of England at a time when many of them are going through significant changes that will forever alter their nature. This book attempts to capture many of the unique features that define the different characters of these distinctive towns and cities. It also includes a historical narrative through the history of new towns in England, from the 12th century through to the present day, but primarily focusing on the three generations of new towns that were created between 1948 and 1970.
