In this frank and honest memoir, Shirley Keogh details the painful, emotional scars she experienced when as a 12 year old child she was cut off, not only from her father, but also from her younger brother.

In a beautifully crafted fashion, she describes the impact that the separation had on her but more importantly how her journey towards the healing of her wound led her into her present vocation - to be a voice and a source of healing for others, who through no fault of their own, have had to travel a similar path.

Using a diary-journaling technique she details the steps by which she was led to surrender her life and her problems to the Lord as He led her to a place of hope and healing. She now had the courage to share her story in the hope that her experiences may help society to think again about the widespread (and growing) availability of divorce and parental separation. She makes a heartfelt plea for the real victims - the children.
