Artistic and secretive, Jae moves into a beautiful but broken down cottage in need of renovation and, with the help of David's construction company, she hopes to renovate more than just the house. All goes to plan until her friend, Cleve, recruits Adrian, an emotionally broken has-been rock star. Jae's emotions are torn to shreds - and she knows she must keep Adrian at a distance in order to protect herself. She realises that, by accepting Adrian's help she has unknowingly added fuel to the dying embers of love with David, her jealous ex. Adrian wants to give up and leave, but only when he learns the awful circumstances that Jae is dealing with does he find himself powerless but to stay and help protect her from the truth. As the three rebuild the house together, sparks begin to fly.
