Max Atkinson

Seen & Heard: Conversations and Commentary on Contemporary Communication in Politics,in the Media and from Around the World Max Atkinson 1st edition

There are countless books on presentation skills full of technique and systems on how to create and deliver the perfect presentation.

Indeed Max Atkinson is the author of one of the best of those very books. This is something slightly different. Here, Max focuses his expertise on looking deeper into the recent worlds of presentations and speech making.

This book is a more personal, slightly more irreverent look at the craft of communication and those that do it; be they in politics, in the media or on platforms elsewhere from around the world.

Based on his popular blog, Max takes us on a whistle stop tour of his observations from the past seven years.

?There was scarcely a single major speech, in my eleven years as leader of the Liberal Democrats, that I made without benefiting from Max?s personal advice and help.? ? Paddy Ashdown

Max Atkinson was a fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford and previously taught at the universities of Essex, Lancaster and Manchester. He was also a visiting professor at the Henley Management College and various universities in Europe and the USA, after which he formed a consultancy specialising in public speaking and presentation skills. In 1985, he ran a seminar on speech writing in the Reagan White House.
