From the late 1970s to the early 1980s Edred Thorsson produced a significant volume of material which was published in rather obscure Ásatrú or Odinist journals such as The Runestonein the USA and the Raven Bannerin England. Additionally, the then fledgling Rune-Gild published a number of shorter works. All of these would have likely ended up as virtually "lost" if they had not been collected and edited for publication in this volume.
